Restoring Lives by Ending Homelessness
For many years, Bagwell has worked with numerous organizations in order to help end homelessness. Unfortunately, a solution to the issue of homelessness and lack of shelter isn’t easy to come by. Especially when you take into consideration the many variables that plague individuals from restoring their lives and lifting themselves out of poverty. That’s why Bagwell is so passionate about helping people who have fallen into homelessness, for one reason or another. Because she understands that, first and foremost, a person who is homeless is just that: a person. And despite what he/she may have been through, they deserve a chance to restore their lives!
Ericka Bagwell is an active philanthropist in her community who regularly donates to, volunteers with and supports nonprofit organizations that focus on outreach in her local area. She currently works with The Mission of Yahweh, a faith-based shelter centered around restoring hope, transforming lives and ending homelessness — for good. A woman of faith all of her life, Bagwell knows firsthand how transformative and powerful the Lord can be when it comes to turning someone’s life around. She is proud to be able to facilitate that connection while working towards a goal of ending homelessness for women and children.
Advocate for Ending Sex Trafficking
Ericka Bagwell is passionate about protecting and empowering women and children. This is especially expressed in her work with organizations like The Houston 20, a nonprofit that works with victims and survivors of sex trafficking. Stretching far beyond outreach on an individual, one-on-one basis, the nonprofit strives to change laws and push for legislation that will work to protect and empower the strong individuals who have survived sex trafficking.
